The course will be held from 8 AM to 4:30 PM on February 4 and 5. This WSIB-approved training program, delivered in partnership with the Canadian Red Cross, provides comprehensive preparation for managing traumatic injuries and medical emergencies in the workplace, at home, or in the community. Over 2 days, participants will learn to effectively manage an emergency scene, treat injuries such as major bleeding, fractures, and soft-tissue injuries, and handle medical emergencies like cardiovascular issues, seizures, and allergic reactions.
The course includes hands-on instruction in using Automated External Defibrillators (AED) and providing CPR to adults, children, and infants. By law, at least one employee in every workplace with six or more employees must complete this training. Upon completion, participants receive a 3-year certificate confirming their proficiency in first aid and CPR.
