This WSIB-approved training program, delivered in partnership with the Canadian Red Cross, introduces participants to the fundamentals of emergency first aid for the workplace, home, or community. Participants will learn to safely manage an emergency scene, recognize and treat common traumatic injuries and medical emergencies, use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and provide effective CPR to adults, children, and infants.
By law, at least one employee in every workplace with five or fewer employees must have completed this training. Upon completion, participants receive a 3-year certificate, ensuring they are trained and certified in emergency first aid.
