This training covers topics such as platform types (Vertical Scissor, Boom Supported, Manual Propelled), OHSA & CSA standards, hazard assessment, risk assessment, proper procedures, equipment inspections, equipment stability, fall protection, and safe practices.
Upon completion, participants receive a 3-year certificate, confirming their competency in operating Elevated Work Platforms safely and effectively.

Working at Heights – Refresher
The Working at Heights Refresher Training is a practical module designed to reinforce critical safety skills and knowledge outlined in section 9.2 of the Working at Heights Training Program Standard. This three-and-a-half-hour course covers essential topics such as barriers and safety nets, personal fall protection equipment, anchor points, work positioning systems, access platforms, and rescue planning. Participants engage in hands-on demonstrations of equipment and procedures and complete a written test to validate their understanding. Upon successful completion, participants receive a certificate valid for 3 years, ensuring ongoing compliance with safety standards for elevated work environments.

Chainsaw Level 1
Designed for beginners and occasional users, this one-day course combines half-day classroom theory with half-day hands-on training. Learn essential safety protocols, proper handling, and operation techniques to prevent accidents and ensure efficient use.
Key topics include kickback prevention, tree felling, bucking, limbing, saw chain maintenance, and sharpening. Gain the confidence and skills needed for safe and effective chainsaw use in various environments.

Forklift
This 6-hour Forklift Training course provides workers with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely operate lift trucks on construction sites, in warehouses, and in manufacturing plants. The training meets CSA Safety Standard B335-15 and covers topics such as regular inspection, maintenance, loading/unloading procedures, forklift fundamentals, principles of balance, and safe load handling techniques.
Participants will also learn about current laws, regulations, and the safekeeping of training records. Upon successful completion, participants will receive a 3-year certificate confirming their forklift operation proficiency.

Telehandler
This Telehandler Training course provides workers with the essential knowledge and skills to safely operate lift trucks on construction sites, in warehouses, and in manufacturing plants. It covers key safety practices, legal requirements, and hazard awareness, including OHSA legislation, electrical and travel hazards, lifting personnel, and more. The course also reviews pre-operation inspections, hand signals, and safety protocols for machine operation.
Upon completion, participants will receive a 3-year certificate, confirming their understanding of telehandler safety and operation.
Please note, this course provides foundational knowledge but does not offer enough hands-on experience to make a new operator an expert.

Emergency First Aid

Excel Level 1
The course will be held from 6:30 PM to 9 PM on April 14, 16, and 17. This 3-day, 6-hour Excel Level 1 course provides essential skills to navigate and use Excel 2016 effectively. Participants will learn to work with the Excel interface, including the Ribbon, Quick Access Toolbar, and Office terminology, as well as best practices for organizing files, modifying worksheet contents, and formatting cells. Hunter Safety
Ontario has been a leader in hunter training, significantly reducing hunting safety incidents. Whether you plan to hunt with rifles or bows, successful completion of the Hunter Safety Education Program is required. The course covers topics such as wildlife management, responsible and ethical hunting, hunting laws, equipment, survival, hypothermia, hunting techniques, shot placement for Ontario big game, field dressing, and the 10 rules of hunter safety.
Prerequisite: Participants must be at least 12 years old and provide photo ID or birth certificates along with a parent’s photo ID.

The Working Certification Refresher Training is a one-day course designed for certified members of a Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) to maintain their certification status. This training provides a comprehensive review of JHSC Certification Part One, updates on Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) legislation, and discussions on best practices relevant to all industry sectors.
Compliant with the current standards effective March 1, 2016, this course is mandatory every three years for JHSC members certified on or after that date. Part 2 (2 Days) covers:

The course will be held from 6:30 PM to 9 PM on February 10, 12, and 13. This 3-day course is designed for experienced Excel users seeking to master advanced tools and techniques. Joint Health & Safety Part 1
The course will be held from 8 AM to 3 PM on February 10, 11, and 12. The JHSC Level 1 Basic Certification course provides essential knowledge of health and safety applicable to all workplaces. It is designed to equip participants with the skills to identify hazards and bring them to the employer’s attention.
Part 1 (3 Days) covers:
- Occupational health and safety law
- Rights, duties, and responsibilities
- Hazard recognition, assessment, and control
- Evaluation of hazard controls
- Duties of Joint Health & Safety Committees (JHSC)
- Responsibilities of JHSC members and certified members

The course includes hands-on instruction in using Automated External Defibrillators (AED) and providing CPR to adults, children, and infants. By law, at least one employee in every workplace with six or more employees must complete this training. Telehandler
This Telehandler Training course provides workers with the essential knowledge and skills to safely operate lift trucks on construction sites, in warehouses, and in manufacturing plants. The course also reviews pre-operation inspections, hand signals, and safety protocols for machine operation.

Working at heights refresher training is the practical module of the working at heights

WHMIS
All workers in Canada who are working with, or around hazardous materials are required by law to have
WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System) training. Horizon Quest Training provides a
comprehensive WHMIS Certification Course that has been developed in accordance with the Government
of Canada’s Hazardous Products Act for the training of anyone who manufactures, works with or is ‘in
proximity to’ hazardous materials in the workplace. Workers will learn all aspects of the WHMIS system
and be able to help keep a safe workplace for themselves and those around them.

The Working at Heights Training Program Standard has a modular format to allow for core theory training to be completed
separately from practical training elements.
Both the Working at Heights Basic Theory module and the Working at Heights Practical Equipment Module are becoming
mandatory for workers in the construction industry who use travel restraint systems, fall arrest systems or safety nets as a
source of protection against fall hazards.
The GOAL of this training is to provide the basic knowledge needed to recognize and avoid hazards associated with
working at heights. This training program will help prepare participants to 1) explain their rights and responsibilities when
working at heights, 2) work at heights safely and in compliance with all required regulations, and 3) select, inspect, and
